Visual Analysis

Analyzing the Baptism of Christ in class was a very interesting activity. It was great preparation for the rhetorical analysis assignment due next week. I began analyzing the painting I chose for my essay and found it was much easier to do after analyzing the Baptism of Christ and Las Meninas. Writing the last three and a half pages of my essay will go by very fast because for me it is easy now to analyze paintings. Also, the reading in the textbook provide great framework and guidelines to analyze artwork. I'm actually now excited to write about The Avoider by Michael Borremans.
